eMagi History
eMagi was created by myself, Yas and Elton as an electronic magazine for the PSP. Even though we have a magazine layout and content to push the magazine on the PSP, we didn’t have enough time to sustain it.

Essentially eMagi is a modern lifestyle magazine covering aspects of animé, manga, movies, fashion, design, music and much more.

Now we have moved the whole process online so eMagi members can easily post directly to the site. If it goes well it can be published as a PDF for future use but for now this is the best solution for us all. Hope you like the place so far as we look to expand and improve this place ^_^

eMagi Staff List

Neo

Name: NeoBlade
Title: eMagi founder, Senior Writer, Designer
Bio: Yep, thats me ^_^;; I started thinking about eMagi when I heard about the PSP’s media functionality and thought it would be a good place to start an electronic magazine. I recruited some people in and with their support we managed to get a mock of the magazine out, however due to work and other issues within the group, progress slowed down. The decision to take eMagi away from the PSP to an online format was done so that the designer (Leaf) was not under pressure to layout the pages by himself.

Now we have a system where eMagi members can log in directly and post content here and thus version 2 was born ^_^ It started off as a videogame, animé and modern entertainment magazine but now it is in webform. Hopefully though you will enjoy the content here as we start to expand and re-focus on what eMagi wants to be - A portal of modern entertainment news.

As for my interests, they include Animé, Videogames, Football (Soccer to the people over the pond), Snooker, Pool, Technology, Art, Design, Music & of course Japanese Idols :: cough :: ^_^ That’s quite a few interests and it is somewhat reflected here on eMagi. As for now the ambition is to get this place to do as well as possible and we’ll take it from there ^_^

yink

Name: Yink
Title: eMagi founder
Bio: Geek artist & web2.0 ambassador of design. As for abilities he is a good news provider, with an accurate eye, great sense of humor and love for beauty. His help includes designing, coding, hosting, feeding, and pimping web appz according to pure web standards (not sure about the standards bit ; ) to the edge of interwebz community evolution.

He is also behind the sound fx for the emagi podcast, taking out his revenge for having failed at becoming Dr Dre. (sigh…)

janus

Name: Janus
Title: Writer
Bio: Well let’s see, I guess I should start by saying that I jumped into eMagi when I saw that many of the members had decided to run off to Coventry. eMagi looked good and I had been watching its growth for some time, I thought that then might be the time to see if I had anything to contribute. In essence, my role will be review films and generally anything that is to my liking.

Name: Chiisuki
Title: Writer
Bio: I’ll be writing some of the anime reviews on the site, also anything interesting that comes to mind. “Artist by trade, artist by nature or should I say creative daydreamer who really should stop dreaming and get more of her work done”.

I work as an Illustrator/Graphic Designer in my non-nocturnal life, I adore anime, films (anything with a quirky script works for me), Collecting anime figures/ strange dolls and statues, I also have an extensive collection of art and animation books, art (especially of the digital fantasy/macabre kind), reading (I read far too much) RPG gaming when I get the time and I have a slight obsession with all things Japanese hmmm lets see I think that’s me in a small nutshell. I hope everyone enjoys reading my “exquisite” for the lack of a better word ranting and reviews.
