The ever popular Gurren Lagann by Gainax is now available on iTunes in the UK! You can either buy each of the 27 episodes for £1.89 a pop, or buy the complete series for £42.99.
For those who have yet to watch this highly enjoyable anime, here is the official synopsis from Beez Entertainment.
In a fictional future, human beings have been forced underground and thrive in isolated subterranean civilisations. These “villages” have no contact with the surface world or with each other. Since frequent earthquakes damage infrastructure, the villages must constantly expand deeper into the earth; individuals designated to this task are known as “diggers”. Fourteen-year-old orphaned Simon is respected by his village elders as the best of the differs, but is ostracised by his peers. One day he discovers a special drill key deep in the ground, and is recruited by an eccentric fellow orphan named Kamina into the “Gurren Brigade”
