A festival in Japan called “Itasha G Fesuta” took place on Sunday 9th in Japan which featured around 450 cars organised by a popular Japanese graphical magazine. The term “itasha” refers to cars which have been illustrated upon by anime, manga and videgame character decals. Not only cars were on display but other forms of transport such as bicycles and motorbikes too, which added variety. Cosplayers all over Japan participated to pose next to their respective automobiles and to mingle to the fans that are so active in the itasha craze.
The highlight of the festival though was a 26million yen Ferrari F430 Spider, which was painted with girl characters! Amongst the favourites were cars decorated from anime series such as Macross Frontier, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and the vocaloid Hatsune Miku. Check out the images below for more. Would you do this to your car?

I do like the Rozen Maiden and the MuvLuv ones.
I think if I ever win the lottery, I’ll buy a car just for painting like that ^__^
In the meantime, I’ll have to stick with designing them on Forza2 >__<

Not sure if I could do that if I had a Ferrari! I believe most of them are all decals which have been printed off and stuck on. I have seen some cool Forza ones about actually but if I were to design one, I would try to incorporate the design so it complements the design rather than tacked on.
However this event in Japan must have been pretty sweet!
