Austria based games publisher, JoWood Productions have recently released a new trailer for their Gothic 3 add-on, Forsaken Gods. Gothic 3, a role playing game released in October 2006, received mixed reviews but was fairly successful, winning awards and being praised for its open-ended world, landscapes, and musical score.
It was announced in April 2008 that an expansion was on its way, the main focus of which was to answer any questions left from Gothic 3 and to bridge the gap to Gothic 4: Arcania, which is due for release in winter 2009. Some of the features of Forsaken Gods are as follows;
- Lively and interactive environment which reacts to the player’s actions, creating a very intense and realistic atmosphere
- Improved graphics quality thanks to updated engine technology
- Enhanced user interface
- 15-20 intense hours of gameplay
- Improved combat system with new combat rules
- Plenty of new weapons, armour, monsters and quests
Gothic 3 - Forsaken Gods is due for release on the 7th November 2008.
