Tokyopop and ADV discontinue more titles

tokyopop_logo_redADV

This links in to the previous post here on eMagi about Funimation picking up 32 titles from ADV Films for distribution as licenses change hands. It seems more titles have been dropped with these titles confirmed to bite the dust from ADV Films:

* 5 Centimeters Per Second
* Innocent Venus
* Robotech

It is also noted that the North American division of Tokyopop have confirmed that more cuts will happen to their Manga line, could it also filter through here as well as reported earlier on eMagi we wrote about Tokyopop slashing UK manga releases.

* Beyond the Beyond Volume 5
* Blazin’ Barrels Volume 11
* Karma Club Volume 2
* Kat & Mouse Volume 4
* Kindaichi Case Files, The Burial Francs
* Lagoon Engine Volume 6
* Lagoon Engine Volume 7
* Nosatsu Junkie Volume 7
* Queen’s Knight, The Volume 13
* Queen’s Knight, The Volume 14
* Saver Volume 7

Let’s hope the trend doesn’t continue for too long, however for some it is the just reward for licensing titles that some say were not worth the effort.
