The flaming haired, blazing eyed flame haze is back for an all new action packed season. Yes Shakugan No Shana is returning for a brand new season this fall. The J.C.Staff have brought back their 2005 hit with a vengeance and this time she’s in HD.
I’m a fan of the original series back in 2005 and I’m excited to see if they manage to keep the series at the same level as the original, hopefully the storyline will progress and expand. Also it’s always nice to see old favourites return as I was always curious as to what happened after the end of the first series. Here’s hoping this season the love triangle between Shana, Yuuji and Kazumi works more favourably in Shana’s direction this time.
The preview itself to the new series was pretty short and sweet, I guess as we are already so accustomed to the characters that they didn’t feel much needed to be explained beside’s Shana’s back to slay some more “Guze no Tomogara” and there are some new villains revealed. The only thing that is obvious from just the preview is that Shana is so “Kawaii” in HD. The character designs are the same as before nothing has been altered from Ito Noizi’s originals, thankfully as I adore her work, this is also a reason why I am such a fan of the original series. The new opening song is “JOINT” by Mami Kawada and the Closing is “triangle” by Mami Kawada. More on the opener in my episode one review.
I am hoping this won’t be a season I’ll regret watching and be saying “Urusai Urusai Urusai” in the weeks to come.
