Myself; Yourself is the new anime form Dogakobo this fall season , it is again a harem show based on a visual novel which was originally for the PS2 by Yeti. I am liking the animation from the preview it reminds me of “School days” and the opening song “Tears Infection” by KAORI is so lively it’s a real contrast to a lot of the other titles this season and I am loving the character designs.
Sana Hikada is the main protagonist who returns to his home town from Tokyo after 5 years away. After such a long time away it appears the little town hasn’t changed much but then he notices a girl in a shrine maiden outfit. He finds out the next day at school that the girl is Nanaka Yatsushiro his childhood friend, whom he gave a bracelet to just before leaving all those years ago. He then finds out she still wears it even to this day. She is somehow different than she was all those years ago she used to smile sweetly with innocent eyes but is now withdrawn and gloomy, will he find out what’s changed.
I’m intrigued, this could very well be my light relief from the action and drama of the heavier titles and from the buzz it is now creating the real gem this season.
