For an RRP of $20 you get the Nintendo Zapper, an officially licensed addition to the Wii controller which turns the Wiimote and Nunchuck into a device suitable for lightgun games. The first title to take advantage of this will be Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles followed by Sega’s Ghost Squadron.
However the main surprise was that a Zelda Crossbow game will be bundled in with the peripheral. Using the Zelda: Twilight Princess game engine, it seems that we will be controlling Link to shoot targets or enemies in a first person or over the shoulder viewpoint, much like in the game itself. Not much else is known in terms of multi-player and levels but since it is a mini game bundled in I wouldn’t expect much.
Great for Zelda fans but then, where is Duck Hunt?
