How this for a bit of irony - The previously banned video game that is Manhunt 2 will be available on sale during Halloween with a new Mature rating.
Rockstar Games have made modifications to this controversial title – set for release on PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and Wii platforms. It is unclear wherever the new modified game can pass the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) in the UK.
“Manhunt 2 is important to us, and we’re glad it can finally be appreciated as a gaming experience,” Rockstar founder and president Sam Houser, said in a press release. “Manhunt 2 is a powerful piece of interactive story telling that is a unique video game experience. We think horror fans will love it.”
Originally, the game’s controversial content means Sony and Nintendo didn’t want to be associated with such a violent and horrifying title. Now with these changes made by Rockstar, Manhunt 2 can now be played by eager video gamers.

Well after all the hype I doubt this be the best game in the world. However, it might sell like it was lol.
Not sure who posted this here ( not that I can see, guessing Walking Leaf) but you mentioned it’s only on PS2 PSP and Wii.
Now I can only assume they have got a rating cos the graphics are not up to the realisim of the 360 and PS3, and it’ll all “look” less gruesome.
But I find it strange ( without knowing more about the reversed decision ) why the Wii will still be getting it. Assuming the controls have stayed the same, the Wii had you physically stabbing and hitting etc the poor git you were killing on screen.
Now out of all the versions, ironically the least powerful,realistic graphical machine has been alowed this game to run on it. Very strange
I also reckon there was no way in the world Rockstar could have guaranteed a copy would not be leaked onto the net. So maybe they have got to do something for fear of the mega uproar when that would happen.
