Apple’s iPhone gets unlocked

Are you eager to get your hands on the Apple iPhone but you live outside the US region or perhaps you have one, but want to switch away from the AT&T network? Then Engadget has the answer. According to the article, with the help of iPhoneSIMfree.com, the team at the popular blogging website has claimed to have cracked the iPhone’s SIM lock system.
What this means, is the iPhone goes international and can be used on any network of your choice!
To do this, you must have the right tools like iASign or iActivator. But there are limitations with this. No visual voicemail or YouTube support, though you can hack the mobile device to make it work…
So great news for European customers who are still waiting for the highly desirable iPhone (Apple has still yet to announce the launch date or prices). The next stage is to import one and run this application in order to use it.

Well it was always going to happen. I’m not sure about the prices for getting one in the states but obviously the way to go is to get someone to get one for you when they are away….that’ll be my team leader when he goes for a long weekend in September then :):):):)
NOt sure how easy it is to crack but will deffo look into it. Aint that fussed about YOUTUBE.
Funnily enough, Apple have made it way to easy for eventual importing of the iPhone, because you dont have to activate the phone in store. You can just buy one and take it away with you.
Thanks very much Mr Jobs

Not bad price really but until you register I don’t know if this is the 4 or 8 gig version, but guessing 4gig. And there’s postage, and I doubt it’ll get passed customs without a big fat VAT TO BE PAID stamp on it.
Neh, I’ll wait for my soon to be best team leader ever to go and bring us one back.
