Rock Band to become available on PlayStation 2

Previously confirmed for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, Harmonix and MTV Games announce the musical peripheral extravaganza that is Rock Band is heading to the PlayStation 2 platform.

The PlayStation 2 version of Rock Band will feature “many” of the gaming modes over the 360 and PlayStation 3, and will also incorporate some all-new gameplay elements.

The European versions (coming in 2008) will also feature “extensive localized music content” on-disc and as well as downloads.

In addition to all things rockin’, publisher EA Games has revealed ten further master tracks.

“Should I Stay or Should I Go” by The Clash
“Epic” by Faith No More
“Cherub Rock” by Smashing Pumpkins
“Creep” by Radiohead
“Sabotage” by Beastie Boys

“Here It Goes Again” by OK Go
“The Hand That Feeds” by Nine Inch Nails
