The PS3’s price cut announced by Sony is certainly a welcome one, some people in the industry are still not satisfied, more specifically Konami’s executive Kazumi Kitaue.
“Since Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps.”
We all know about the rising costs in development to work on the PS3 and XBOX360 and every company needs to ensure that their hard earned cash is being spent wisely. His words echo this sentiment as Konami are seriously worried that all the hard work will not be rewarded on just the PS3. This will add fuel to the fire that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots might appear on the XBOX360 which is enjoying healthy success in the USA and Europe. Microsoft are certainly hoping this is the case and would love to see Snake make his official debut on their console.
