Tales of EarthSea to get limited theatrical showing in UK

Studio Ghibli’s offering of Tales of EarthSea directed by Gorō Miyazaki, son of Hayao Miyazaki will be given a limited theatrical showing in the UK after the BBCF have given it a PG rating. The animé has been given a rough ride in the USA due to licensing issues so it has come to some surprise that is has been dubbed in English with the casting talents of Timothy Dalton, Mariska Hargitay and Willem Dafoe.

Interestingly enough Optimum (the distributors) has announced that there will be a dubbed version and a subbed version. How this will work out, I’m not sure but if you are interested in this animé, check out the trailer for it below!

Wow. I thought to myself “This is like Hayao” but thought it couldn’t be since I would have known. So then I found out it was his son, no wonder that I thought it was Hayao’s because they both seem to share a same vision like father like son as they say.
