Thundercats are go! Cult 1980s cartoon heading to the big screen

Thundercats

They’re both on the run and loose! As reported earlier on eMagi regarding He-Man and the Master of the Universe are heading to the big screen, another cult 1980s cartoon show will get the movie treatment.

According to an article on Variety, Thundercats: The Movie will be developed by Warner Bros with a script written by new writer Paul Sopocy. The plot will revolve around the origin of Lion-O becoming the leader of the Thundercats, as well as the creation of the villainous Mumm-Ra.

All your favourite anthropomorphic felines – Tygra, Panthro and Cheetarah – will show up. So, who should be cast as the furniture-scratching warriors? How about Ving Rhames as Panthro and Jessica Alba as Cheetarah? What about Snarf? Perhaps he will become the next Jar Jar Binks…

I’m a graphic designer working for a major newspaper in the UK *It’s The Daily Telegraph* I am a big fan of motor racing and have attending many Formula One races. Love all kinds of movies, be it drama, action or thriller. I absolutely adore Elisha Cuthbert a.k.a. Kim Bauer from 24 and I am a big fan of Apple products.

Apparently Elisha Cuthbert a.k.a. Kim Bauer from 24 seems to be the favourite to land the role of Cheetarah. If that is true, that will be the main highlight in this movie!
