In the latest showing of another popular series “Heroes” NBC ran a promo hinting that the next four episodes of the very funny show “Scrubs” could be the last. While not totally confirmed as details are so vague it would be a shame to see this series end, however it seems not all is rosy in Sacred Heart Hospital.
Reason? Money. TV Ratings are everything and NBC has had solid ratings of around 6 million watching Scrubs. The star of the show Zaff Braff (aka J.D) has just negotiated a one year deal with Touchstone TV paying him a wedge of $350,000-plus per episode for a 2007-08 season of “Scrubs.” Nice if you can get it!
NBC are willing to give the show its seventh season but if they pull out due to Zaff’s wage demands ABC are waiting in the pipeline to keep the show going. Let’s hope it all works out.
