Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi speaking to US based EGM publication criticized the PS3 saying the machines architecture is too tricky and difficult to develop for.
Sakaguichi’s Mistwalker studio recently created the title Blue Dragon last December for the Xbox 360 helping sales of the 360 console in Japan. Sales of the 360 have been poor in Japan and Sakaguichi lays the blame squarely at Microsofts inability to market to the Japanese market.
“Microsoft has to change its marketing strategy in Japan. There are a lot of excellent games on the 360, far better games than what’s on the Wii or PS3. But not a lot of people in Japan have a clear idea what games like Gears of War are all about”, he said.
Mr Sakaguchi commented on the Nintendo Wii saying he found it intriguing but mentioned he did not have any plans for developing any games for it in the near future.
