You may have notice an emitting blue light coming from your Nintendo Wii today, that’s because there is a new update to the web browser available on the system.
The Opera-powered web browser has been updated to its final version with new features. These include:
• Auto-hide toolbar
• Display cursors from multiple Wii remotes (though only player 1 can actually click)
• Favourites page immediately accessible
• Improved website compatibility
• Improved zoom leaves text crisp at all levels (it looks sharp on HDTV)
• New and better scroll interface
• Search button on the toolbar
• Start up time decreased by 5 seconds
• URL text (www and com) easily accessible
The update will take up 285 blocks on the Wii and can be downloaded for free via the Wii Shop Channel (click on Wii Software to update the Internet Channel).
The browser will remain free for users until June 2007. At that point, the download will cost 500 points.

oh kewl, I dig the Internet browsing facilities of the wii, thanks to the opera browser. These new features are definitely welcome specially the tool bar auto hiding. Guess I need a HD tv to check it our properly though.
