Sci-Fi London 2007 Anime All Nighter - The best yet?

Sci-Fi London has released information about their latest event - Anime all Nighter. What does it entail? A massive showing of high quality animé from Saturday 5th May from 11pm all through the night. However such events live and die by the choice of animé shown and what a line-up this one is!

- Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society
- Paprika
- Le Chevalier D’Eon
- Highlander: Search for vengence
- Full Metal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa

Solid State Society. That alone is worth the admission fee! However the highly impressive Paprika is also on show and that will be a crowd pleaser to those who loved Perfect Blue. after hearing all of this I am extremely tempted to book myself if there’s time. However last year the whole event was fully booked within ten days, so book now before its too late!

Here is the press release!

London International Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film
The UK’s premier international festival dedicated to science fiction and fantastic film.

SCI-FI-LONDON 6: 2-6 May 2007, Apollo West End, Lower Regent Street, London SW1

It’s that time of the year again and SCI-FI-LONDON has just announced its programme for this year’s Festival, which runs from May 2-6 at the Apollo West End, Lower Regent Street, London SW1. As usual it has an eclectic mix of movies and events including four world premieres. But for the manga/anime folk the big one is the anime all-nighter and it won’t disappoint. It’s Production I.G’s 20th anniversary and the programme recognises their achievement. This year’s films are:

GHOST IN THE SHELL: Solid State Society
PAPRIKA
LE CHEVALIER D’EON
HIGHLANDER: Search for vengence
FULL METAL ALCHEMIST: Conqueror of Shamballa

Tickets are £24, with allocated seating. The price includes a goody bag, Red Bull, Purbeck Ice Cream, all the tea and coffee you can drink and prizes. A great time is guaranteed (although that’s not a money-back guarantee) and even if you don’t enjoy it, remember it is still cheaper than a hotel for the night! If you want to get tickets don’t procrastinate as it sells out really quickly.

Full details of the Festival and how to get tickets are available from www.sci-fi-london.com.
