Is this the most impressive Apple desktop computer ever? A new version of the Mac Pro now features the latest Intel chips – the ‘Woodcrest’ Xeons.
That’s eight-cores of Intel processing power spread across two of Intel’s latest ‘Clovertown’ quad-core chips. The timing with this new machine coincides with the release of the new Creative Suite 3.0 from Adobe that is fully optimized on the Intel platform.
The Quad-core models are still available with processor speeds maxing out at 3 GHz. Prices start at $2,499 for 2.66GHz quad-core action or tack on an additional $1,498 for a total of 8-cores running at 3 GHz.
Check out the official Apple UK website for more information on the new product here
