A few hours ago the Jamaican police confirmed that the post-mortem has attributed Bob Woolmer’s death to asphyxiation by means of manual strangulation. This information now means that Woolmer was murdered, the information on the street at the moment points to gambling cartels as being to blame for the cricket coaches death. These Details have moved this from a Tragedy to a calamity and indeed I would hope that the people responsible for Mr. Woolmer’s death to be brought to justice as soon as possible. Even in light of this the ICC have said that the cricket world cup will continue as scheduled, personally I think it should be abandoned as nobody should die because of the game of Cricket.
If anyone would like to leave a tribute to Bob the comments of this post should be a good place.

My thoughts and wishes go to Bob’s family and friends. Sport should never result in the loss of someone’s life due to a victory and defeat. It has happened before during a World Cup and no-one would wish it to happen again in any sport or walk of life.

My heart goes out to Bob Woolmer’s family and friends in these tragic circumstances. The world of cricket has been effected considerably and it won’t be the same without this popular sportsman taking part in his favourite sport.
