With a successful launch in America and Japan late last year for Sony’s ‘next generation’ console, PlayStation 3, gamers in Europe had to wait patiently due to ‘shortages of production parts’. The delay for the PAL version of PlayStation 3 has meant some gamers to import one in order to enjoy the new games.
Sony has stated the PlayStation 3 will be available in March but there have been no indication on the exact date. But according to an article in Gamesindustry the British advertising agency TBWA – who was responsible for creating the stylish ‘The Third Place‘ adverts for PlayStation 2 – are about to devise a series of advertising campaigns for the new console at the end of March. This means it could go on sale on March 23rd.
But all this is pure speculation at the moment as Sony has yet to announce the price and date. Final details on the European launch could be revealed within the next couple of weeks.

I have already experienced the PS3 and I am left with the impression of disappointment. Sure, it looks beautiful when connected to a large High Definition TV, but the lack of force feedback from the wireless controller makes it underwhelming. Plus the advancement of the games I’ve played so far - Ridge Racer 7 and Gran Turismo HD is no different what’s on offer on the Xbox 360…
