Electronic giants Microsoft will soon be launching a new version of the popular Xbox 360 video game console with proper high definition output.
The original Xbox 360 didn’t feature any digital video outputs such as DVI or HDMI; instead, high definition quality output can only be produced over VGA or component video. But with Xbox 360 version 2 – codename Zephyr (the original was codenamed Xenon) – users can now experience true 1080p resolution.
The new model follows months of speculation over a proper HD-quality Xbox 360. Not only does it have HDMI port, it also features a new, cooler 65nm processor. As for the hard drive, the new console features a vast 120-gigabyte data capacity.
The price and availability remain unknown.
