Today the Wii Opera internet browser is free to download as a trial at long last. Using it is pretty simple:

  • The Wiimote acts like a cursor
  • Home button to return Home
  • A button to Select
  • B to Scroll
  • + to Zoom in
  • - to Zoom out
  • 1 to view Favourites
  • 2 to Switch Display Modes
  • The Wii also supports T9 when searching in Google, cookies and Flash. I’m not sure if it supports Javascript and if it conforms to the latest CSS standards but this is a trial version after all. Its quite neat to use and handy when you want to keep up to date on some news, want to handle downloads, play flash games and much more. Now if only Nintendo gave us some free Virtual Console games as a christmas gift…
