Resident Evil 5 delayed until 2008

The next survival horror game from Capcom could be put back until 2008 as producer Jun Takeuchi is current working on redefining Resident Evil 5 to its best.
The highly anticipate action game will follow on from the overwhelming success of Resident Evil 4 on the Nintendo GameCube and Sony PlayStation 2, will use a new weather engine that gets hot or cold in the in-game environment.
In addition, Takeuchi is aiming for a 60 frame per second frame rate meaning ultra smooth game play with almost photo realistic visuals (which includes full hair modelling).

Well what did we all expect, really not surprised at all about this. When you consider the guys behind this haven’t even started developing yet and for it to come out in 2007 would have meant about a 2 year gap between this and Resi 4 which isn’t enough.
I’m willing to wait an extra year if it means we get a game as good as Resi 4.

I’m not surprised either and a long delay will mean a top game. It give me an extra year before I have to fork out for a 360 as well and they should be a lot cheaper by 2008 ^_^
I’ve only just reached the sea creature boss on RE4 anyway, so need time to finish that first!
