If your Nintendo Wii is emitting a blue light today, it means a new function is now available on the console. The Wii Weather Channel has gone live, which means you can check the weather forecast around the world.

As for accessing the Internet with your Wii, the Opera website has been updated, revealing the official release date for the console’s Internet browser.

A trial version will be released this Friday (December 22nd) with the full version following sometime in spring 2007.
