There are rumours circulating on the Internet regarding further delays for Sony’s PlayStation 3 with the news that the European launch of the highly anticipated console might be pushed back to September 2007.
CVG, a gaming site, reckons Sony may hold back the planned March 2007 release to either April or even September due to ‘component shortages’.
This is unfortunate as many European gamers are still waiting for the opportunity to experience the next generation console from Sony. The PlayStation 3 is already available in America and Japan.
However, Next-Gen reports of a statement by Sony’s European boss calling the rumour “categorically not true.”
The CEO continued by saying: “We’re still on schedule to launch PlayStation 3 in March throughout the PAL territories and all speculation otherwise is without foundation.”
