Mobile entertainment company I-Play will soon be releasing a new game on mobile devices based on the hit ‘real-time’ TV drama 24.
24: Agent Down will be released alongside the Region 1 (American) version of 24 Season 5 on DVD. The game is a sequel to the BAFTA-award-winning mobile game 24.
In Agent Down, gamers are give the opportunity by helping out CTU agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) on stopping terrorists obtaining personal files containing classified information. There will be twenty-four different types of missions, utilizing weapons and unlocking puzzles while under a tight 24-style time deadline.
“24: Agent Down is the ultimate in one thumb gaming ‘on the go’…We think this next instalment in our award-winning 24 mobile game series will excite both loyal fans of the TV hit series and new recruits,” said David Gosen, CEO of I-Play.
“24 is one of Fox’s most successful shows and we were pleased to see I-Play successfully bring out the spirit of the show through its mobile game series,” added Mitch Feinman, senior vice president of Fox Mobile Entertainment.
“With I-Play’s proven record in creating entertaining and engaging mobile games, we’re looking forward to seeing 24: Agent Down take mobile game play up a notch.”
The new series of 24 returns to Fox TV on January 14 2007.
