This Flash-based ‘toy’ has become a surprising hit on the Internet, which began its life as a project for an illustration class according to creator Bostjan Cadez. This addictive game will be ported to the Nintendo DS and the Wii soon.
But what is Line Rider? Well, it involves drawing a set of lines for a small-animated character with a sled that rides. The game uses realistic physics and it’s quite a challenge to create a course.
Enjoy and see how far your character can ride!

This is probably the best Line Rider so far:

The next survival horror game from Capcom could be put back until 2008 as producer Jun Takeuchi is current working on redefining Resident Evil 5 to its best.
The highly anticipate action game will follow on from the overwhelming success of Resident Evil 4 on the Nintendo GameCube and Sony PlayStation 2, will use a new weather engine that gets hot or cold in the in-game environment.
In addition, Takeuchi is aiming for a 60 frame per second frame rate meaning ultra smooth game play with almost photo realistic visuals (which includes full hair modelling).

See the latest film trailer to Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s sex and violence mash-up that is Grind House.
This exciting new movie is unique as there are two full-length horror films joined as one that are directed by Kill Bill’s Tarantino and Sin City’s Rodriguez.
In Tarantino’s psycho road movie, Death Proof, it features a psychopath stuntman named Mike played by Kurt Russell. While Rodriguez’s zombie infection horror Planet Terror, is influenced by B-movies with an orgy of skimpily clad girls, gratuitous violence and Kurt Russell being cool and a bit freaky.

Today the Wii Opera internet browser is free to download as a trial at long last. Using it is pretty simple:
The Wiimote acts like a cursor
Home button to return Home
A button to Select
B to Scroll
+ to Zoom in
- to Zoom out
1 to view Favourites
2 to Switch Display Modes
The Wii also supports T9 when searching in Google, cookies and Flash. I’m not sure if it supports Javascript and if it conforms to the latest CSS standards but this is a trial version after all. Its quite neat to use and handy when you want to keep up to date on some news, want to handle downloads, play flash games and much more. Now if only Nintendo gave us some free Virtual Console games as a christmas gift…

They say the best things in life are free and this certainly rings true of Wii Sports. Bundled in free with Nintendo’s new groundbreaking console and its soul purpose being to introduce players to the subtleties of the Wii remote, which it does very well and nothing more.
With the choice of 5 sports (tennis, bowling, boxing, golf and baseball), you become acquainted with your new controller quite quickly. This game is the perfect example of what Nintendo hope to achieve, instantly accessible and a lot of fun.
Tennis has been pushed forward as the leading sport in this title and with good reason; it’s by far the easiest sport to grasp literally requiring no pre-game instructions. You simply pick up your racket and swing away.
Of course not every sport is going to you have you smiling, gently shoving your friends out of position as the adverts on the television may suggest. You’ll have your favorites, but there will be one or maybe two you avoid unless showing someone the game for the first time. I found myself playing baseball a few times before the novelty of the controller wore off quite quickly, and boxing was just too unresponsive to keep me interested. I enjoyed bowling so much because it made me believe I was playing bowling, even down to the sore arm the next day whereas boxing left me feeling as stupid as I looked.
This game is definitely all about the gameplay, seeing these egg like human beings bobbling around the screen can be quite a shock at first, I was certainly taken aback at how basic it all looked. But this was never meant to be the focal point of Wii Sports and the amount of fun you do have is enough to keep your mind of the visuals.
While you do have the old saying, the best things in life are free there also is another phrase that describes this game well; you get what you pay for. Once the Wii gets into full swing Wii Sports will be quickly forgotten. But you must take this game for what it is, a free glorified tech demo put into every console in order for its consumers to get to grips with the Wii Remote while using as little thinking power as possible.
It has accomplished that and I haven’t had this much pleasure from playing a videogame in a very long time, in that respect you could regard Wii Sports as the greatest launch title ever, it may not be the best but it’s a great sign of things to come.

Evolution has always been the name of the game when it came to the Pro Evolution Soccer series, with every installment bringing seemingly insignificant tweaks and subtle changes to the already tried and tested formula, it’s these small tweaks however that take the series forward and put it leaps and bounds ahead of the competition, and always bettering it’s main competitor; itself.
Although happy in their own ignorance it seems, Konami have settled for merely matching it’s predecessor whereas EA have taken a tired, used and abused series in Fifa and have given it a new lease of life really taking advantage of the power at their disposal. Konami have been a little too narrow-minded which to many, has cost them their once unrivalled title of ‘best in genre’.
All doom and gloom it certainly isn’t, regardless of Konami’s blatant laziness they still have produced a title that recreates it’s chosen sport better than any other game on the market. Passing has been quickened while the overall action has slowed down, it doesn’t make sense but as you play you will understand. It is no longer a case of taking it past defenders, passing is absolutely crucial and a Ronaldo-like rush of blood to the head in your own half can, and will at the hands of a skilled player, cost you the match.
The most noticeable difference this year is the shooting, to be blunt; it’s difficult. Every player doesn’t have the killer finish of Van Nistelrooy anymore; individual stats really do make the difference. Body position and momentum will decide how powerful and accurate a shot is, if the ball is underneath your feet be prepared to see the ball loft over the goal into row Z. It all takes a lot of practice that makes it all the more rewarding when you slot in from a tight angle. If you master shooting you can turn game on its head in an instant.
Everyone loves a bit of eye candy and for a game on a next generation console Pro Evolution Soccer 6 severely disappoints. Again, while EA have really grabbed the power at their disposal by the balls to deliver a feast for the eyes, Konami seem to have given the game a go over with the next gen spit ‘n shine brush. It all looks very crisp and having slated the visuals the player models are very good for the most part. If anything, the visuals pretty much sum up this entire game, lazy. And disappointing.
The real meat of the game will be online, after the catastrophe that was the online mode in Pro Evo 5 anything would have been an improvement. Games are easy enough to come by but it’s just a shame sporting players aren’t. Lag can be crippling but with a decent connection and a few friendly players it is a load of fun, but it will never capture the genius of playing with a few friends in the same room.
Konami this time round have done the bare minimum to keep players such as myself paying 40 pounds to play their games, but it does beg the question, what on earth have they been doing all year? The ‘next gen’ Pro Evo has even been stripped down, losing a full edit mode and depending on what kind of person you are, not having the option to save replays really grates. Konami have taken two steps forward and one step back, it’s still progress nonetheless but I expected more. It has kept its crown for another year and I hope that a full year with the next gen consoles will produce something more worthy of the name.

It was confirmed today that Virtua Fighter, the previously PS3-Exclusive fighter, will be coming to the Xbox 360.
Jeff Bell, corporate VP of marketing for Microsoft, had this to say;
“The Virtua Fighter series from Sega has one of the most prestigious histories in video games…It’s a franchise that has grown an army of loyal fans both in arcades and on consoles worldwide, and is consistently rated extremely high by the media. Fighting game fans have been hungry for Virtua Fighter 5 and we can now proudly deliver this game with Sega to Xbox 360 gamers around the world.”
First (seemingly dispelled) MGS4 rumours and now this; Are Microsoft trying to take away all the reasons to get a PS3?
