Production I.G has given its consent to the largest french independant studio Pathe to create a live action movie of the said title that was released in 2000. It also won best animation at the 4th Japan Media Arts Festival and went on to spawn a hit TV series called Blood+ from 2005 to 2006. The budget is set around $25 million USD and will be produced by Bill Kong (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Hero) and directed by Ronny Yu (Freddy vs. Jason). Jeon-Ji-Hyun of My Sassy Girl and Windstruck fame will star as Saya and if I might say so myself a great choice.
Since we’re talking about Jeon-Ji-Hyun heres a nice videoclip of her modelling some clothes… Be sure to wipe off the drool after lads.
