Hollywood movie star Harrison Ford has reassured fans of Indiana Jones that he’s still fit enough to play the action hero one more time – at the age of 64.
The actor, who last played the lead role in The Last Crusade back in 1989, said at the Rome Film Festival that he could “bring the same physical action” to a remake.
He said: “We need to move on for artistic reasons and obvious physical reasons (but) I feel fit to continue and bring the same physical action.”
The fourth Indiana Jones movie has been in development for more than a decade, but the production has recently gained momentum after producer George Lucas revealed he and director Steven Spielberg are working on a script.
Ford also added that Sean Connery might return as Indiana Jones’ father, Henry.
“He’s part of the emotional fabric of these films. I believe that Sean is still willing and I’d be delighted if he joined us,” said the actor.
Former James Bond star Connery, who was at the Rome event last week, said that no offer had been made.
Ford did not disclose any further details about a possible filming schedule or locations, adding that Lucas and Spielberg - who worked on the previous films - have yet to complete a script.

I’m a big fan of Harrison Ford and consider him the greatest actors in Hollywood. Seen nearly all the films he starred in. But I am concerned about his fitness when he performing his own stunts on the new Indiana Jones movie.
