Last night the Xbox Live Marketplace saw the release of two new items: The demo of the latest Tony Hawk’s game, and the arcade port of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
Tony Hawk’s Project 8 is the first next-gen title in Activision’s acclaimed Skateboarding serious (no medals for guessing that this is the 8th installment) and looks to be more of the same, albeit with shinier graphics and a few new features.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on the other hand was the last truly 2D Mortal Kombat game, and is a welcome addition to the Xbox Live Arcade roster. The trial is free (though very limited) and the full game will cost 800 Microsoft Points (round about £6.)
