Today was the final full day in Kyoto so we decided to spend what little money we had left at the Teramachi-Dori shopping area. This shopping area is the closest you will get to Tokyo shopping in Kyoto, and there are some excellent shops were you can get hold of rare gashapon and anime items. Whilst there we stopped into the cinema where I choose the film Ultraman Mebius & Ultraman Brothers, much to the dismay of my travelling companions. This was a film celebrating the 40th anniversary of Ultraman, so a cheese-fest was inevitable. All the previous Ultramen showed up to support the current one, as well as every cliche in the book. I loved it! Cheesy theme, crap acting and rubbish monsters - what more do you want? A brilliant way to end the holiday!
Our money exhausted and feeling knackered, we adjourned back to the hotel to pack and get an early night as we had to be up for 6.30am the next morning. Our luggage was over the limit individually, but combined we just got away with it. Always a worry when coming back from Japan, but we managed once more!
As the next day was spent travelling, this is the last entry of the blog. Hope you all enjoyed reading it!
