Both models of Sony’s PlayStation 3 will be bundled with only composite (red, white and yellow) cables according to an article in Famitsu magazine.
Even though the PS3 features a HDMI port suitable for viewing and playing High Definition, it seems Sony are trying to cut cost by packaging the units without the desired output cable…
The component cable – a standard AV – is the same as the current PlayStation 2, so if you have S-Video, D or Component cables, this can be used again.
If you wish to buy some High Definitions cables, this will be a separate purchase. Price details remain unknown.

Meh, as expected as they want to only accomodate to the lowest denominator. However does it use the same cables as the PS2? If so then most people don’t need to worry as they can use their existing RGB SCART or Component cable.
