Nintendo will supply a wired Ethernet Kit for users who not do have access to the Internet in Wi-Fi mode for the Wii console.
This is great news for players who do not have a wireless-enable router. There was an initial concern over a lack of an Ethernet port on the Wii, meaning that the console can only connect to the Internet via a wireless link-up.
For users without a wireless-enabled router, this would mean purchasing a new router or the difficult to find Nintendo Wi-Fi Connecter (the USB adaptor). But with the Ethernet Kit, non-wireless gamers have nothing to worry about.
For those of you who have the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connecter, this device can be used to connect to the Wii.
And most wireless routers will also be compatible with the Wii’s built-in Wi-Fi technology.
