
When you turn on the Nintendo Wii, you will be presented by a selection of Channels.
- Virtual Console - To play NES, SNES, N64 and Sega retro titles
- Disk Channel - To play Gamecube and Wii games
- Mii Channel - Multimedia functions such as basic photo manipulation to use as avatars in Wii titles
- Photo Channel - Allows you to display photos from your SD memory card which can be zoomed in or out, rotated, inverted and used as a slideshow. MP3s can also be used together with the slideshow as a presentation. Not only that, you can share the photo's with your friends via WiiConnect24 if they are on your list.
- Forecast Channel - Grab the latest weather from around the world whenever you want
- News Channel - A 3D globe represents where the news is coming from to grab the latest headlines in the world of news. No announcements as of yet in terms of which partners Nintendo will use for such news.
Also you can surf the internet as previously mentioned with the Opera browser which will also support Adobe Flash.
