Mark this down in your diary: December 2, 2006. This will be the official launch date for Nintendo's Wii console in Japan.
The Japanese electronics giant confirmed the new system would be priced at 25,000 yen ($212.5; £113) or less.
This exciting news will now create a fascinating three-way battle in the $30bn gaming industry with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360.
Nintendo hopes the Wii will appeal to everyone, as it claims its new-style remote control - a wireless wand-like device a.k.a. 'Wiimote' - should offer an easy playing style for non-gamers. If it works, then expect a new generation of game players!
But what about America and Europe? The Nintendo Wii will make its appearances on State-side on November 19 (a few weeks before the Japanese launch) price $250.
As for Europe, we will find out tomorrow after Nintendo's Japanese Conference on details about launch date, price and games.
Speaking of games, apparently there maybe 25 or so available upon launch. One of those titles will be The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
If you wondering what classic/retro games are on offer via Wii's virtual console, then expect to see 30 titles to play on launch day. These will be the popular Donkey Kong, Zelda, and Mario franchises.
The price of downloadable NES, SNES, and N64 games should range around $5 to $10.
