Red Octane’s Guitar Hero is causing so much excitement at the Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival with a couple of new announcements.
The first is a playable demo of Guitar Hero II featuring some fantastic tracks (see list below). In addition, a confirmed November release date means us European rock legends won’t have to wait too long from the American release date of November 7th.
That’s great news and you don’t need to buy a new guitar as the original peripheral will work with the sequel but Red Octane has also gone ahead and “confirmed that the original guitars will be compatible with the PlayStation 3.” Nice. What about wireless guitars eh?
So far, we only know a few of the 55 tracks confirmed to appear, including the often requested Guns N’ Roses track. The song is “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and this will indeed rock!
Unfortunately there are no news for a Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero at the moment.
