Using the latest technology from Digimark it seems that Microsoft have taken the initiative about integrating ideas such as face mapping, gestures and more into videogames via the new XBOX360 video camera. I must admit that the face mapping does seem to be very accurate and who knows, soon it could be a universal feature for multiplayer videogames online and via LAN.
With gesture support it would open up new methods of controlling menus or casting magical spells in a videogame. One idea I was thinking about for the Nintendo Wii specifically was while using the Wii-mote as a shotgun, you would also have to cock it to reload. Or if using a pistol you would have to manouver the nunchuk attachment underneath the Wii-Mote and lightly tap the underside of it, replicating the motion of reloading a magazine/bullet clip into the gun. It will be interesting to see how far Microsoft will develop this technology because as with the Wii it opens up a lot of interactive options.

The Digimark technology has been used before to ‘map’ the driver’s faces in Formula One (PS2). Some look close to the real thing, others not.
It will be interesting how accurate this kit will allow the player to be in the game. Will there be any Sim-like modification?
