Nintendo DS Lite - Slimmer, lighter and brighter

The Nintendo DS now has a makeover under the name “DS Lite”. The original sported a retro look but was also large and heavy which did not quite hit the style conscious consumer, even though it is the fastest selling handheld in history. Nintendo decided to re-style the hand-held making it 42% smaller in volume and 21% lighter than the original. The buttons also have been moved so the Start and Select buttons are now under the main four face buttons and the stylus is now located on the right hand side. The power button has been replaced with a spring loaded switch and the microphone is now in the middle of the hinge between the screens.
The DS Lite also supports brighter screens for extra clarity under bright lighting conditions and still retains the same battery life as the original thanks to more efficient hardware. Everything else is still the same, you can still play GameBoy Advance titles and the screen size is the same as the original.
It will be released in the UK on 23rd June in two colours, Perl White and Jet Black for a price of £99.
