PSP - Midnight Club 3: Dub or Dumb Edition?

Okay I admit, this title seems very negative but it is justified, I promise! The fact is I love this game… When it’s not being inconsistent. For a start Rockstar Leeds did an amazing job on the PSP port. Essentially, it’s like looking at a slightly lower resolution version of the original and on a screen this small and sharp, often there seems to be no difference at all.

Ok, we’re going to be straight with you from square one, Nintendogs, when it all comes down to it, is a Pet Simulator. It doesn’t contain a vast array of weaponry, fast vehicles, zombies or any real violence of any kind. If you’re one of those people who can’t play a game without any of the above factors, stop reading this, and move on to the next review. If, however, the lack of the above doesn’t really bother you then read on. Because, what Nintendogs DOES contain is a fun and somewhat addictive little ‘game’.

N64 - F-Zero

Fast paced, lethal and supercharged ‘Space-Race’ action in this one. F-Zero for the N64 was one of the N64 games that sat on your shelf with pride. At the time, the graphics of this game weren’t that special, but that didn’t stop you blowing the hell out of your mates!

So if you’re going to buy a N64 game sometime soon, this is a one to look out for!

Yes, I know, Driver is almost as infamous as ‘Army Men’ these days, almost a euphemism for bad gaming. However, original Driver was sublime. It was fun, fresh and original. Yes, it was riddled with bugs and glitches - you could get stuck ‘inside’ buildings and so on and the last level was stupidly difficult. But there really was no other alternative.

In fact, to be honest I still play it now and it’s still great fun! So… What happened?
